We had a delightful time and the drinks were impressive. The atmosphere was a bit loud, but the music playlist was exactly what I preferred. The server provided outstanding service. We will definitely return during our next trip to town.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had dinner at Universal Joint in downtown Chattanooga and loved everything about it! We went on a Thursday around 5:30 and were seated right away. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, and the food came out fast. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and it was delicious, but the real star of the night was the tater tots—crispy, golden perfection. My daughter raved about the fish tacos, and the whole table couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. The drink menu has some great options, and the atmosphere is awesome—set in what looks like an old gas/service station with cool, laid-back vibes. It’s the kind of place that feels casual but still special, whether you’re out with friends, family, or on a casual date night. Prices are really reasonable for the quality, too. If you’re in Chattanooga, this spot is a must-try. Be sure to check out the patio when the weather’s nice—it’s the perfect hangout spot. Check out my photos if you’re thinking of going, and give them a like to help me build up my following!

Stopped in by myself for a bite. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good, I had a burger, tots and a soda. Music was pretty good as well. Very eclectic mix which I enjoyed. TVs to watch the games while you eat. I enjoyed the visit and the meal.

Awesome building, good location, and friendly staff. The good: awesome retro gas station bar. If you're a fan of art deco, you'll dig it. Max stars for environment. A good selection of beers on tap. Friendly and attentive staff, which has been a rarity in Chattanooga lately. The OK: the food. OK is the best way to describe it. Remarkably mediocre. Under seasoned and underwhelming. The thought was better than the execution. Poor ratio of protein to bread on the sandwiches, but the tots were on point. Overall a great place for a beer and just an OK place for a meal.

I had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant for the first time today, September 30, 2025, and I chose to sit outside to enjoy the pleasant weather. Makayla was my waitress; however, I didn’t catch her name until I inquired. She took my order promptly, but it was someone else who brought out my meal, simply setting it down without a word before disappearing. I found myself waiting quite a while for my server to return and see if I needed anything. By that time, I had already eaten one of my fish tacos, while my waffle fries were disappointingly served cold. Had Makayla come out to check on me after my meal was delivered, I could have savored those fries alongside my tacos. Instead, by the time she finally checked in on me, I was ready to leave. I ordered the blackened fish tacos paired with sweet potato waffle fries, and I must say, the fish tacos were a highlight—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. To me, the foundation of a great dining experience lies in the quality of service, and unfortunately, that’s where this visit fell short. I didn’t feel the level of attention I expected from the staff, which dampened the overall experience. Would I eat here again? Absolutely, but I hope for a much more attentive service next time.

Car shop turned eclectic burger joint! If you are looking for relaxed, fast service this is your place. Dog friendly large patio makes it great for a weekend chill location.

We love the atmosphere and location most of all. It was hot so we ate indoors, but eating outside would have been our first choice. I had a frozen Jack & Coke first off that was really good then we ordered fried cheese curds for the table. Everyone liked what they ordered as there was a good selection of sandwiches and salads offered. I ordered a BAT (bacon arugula tomato) sandwich that was good as you’d want one to be. The theme of an old gas station was interesting and well done. Since it’s right next to the courthouse, it would be a perfect place to grab a lunch while you’re doing business nearby.
